On September 13, 2003 the Carolina Center was host to the 3rd Annual State Newspaper Women's Life & Style Expo--featuring keynote speaker Maya Angelou. ACS's expert engineers were at the center of this event providing video elements that included two 9' x 12' flown rear projection screen showing video and IMAG. All images were provided by professional Proxima LCD projectors. Audio for the event, including a mass choir, and multiple bands was supplied by 16 EAW KF750 Cabinets flown above 8 EAW SB1000 Subwoofers, providing ample sound reinforcement for the stadium. ACS's lighting engineers created a simple wash to cover the 80' x 40 stage and choir by using 40' of double hung truss consisting of 64 lighting fixtures controlled by dimmers.
The combination of large video and IMAG combined with the straightforward use of lighting and audio provided the perfect atmosphere for this event. ACS's engineers were onsite throughout the event to support all onsight equipment as well as the vision of the event promoters.
